Roadblockers
A roadblocker is designed as an impact resistant barrier for vehicle access. Whether you need a simple low cost up and down roadblocker for relatively low volume use, or in case you’re looking for a heavy-duty anti-terrorist roadblocker for frequent use, Bavak is your supplier. Bavak has over 45 years of experience with roadblocking technology. We supply the Bavak roadblockers in various heights and widths exactly to your wishes. You can use a roadblocker on almost any road surface.
The roadblocker can work as a stand-alone device or in combination with a speedgate or arm barrier. A roadblocker is very suitable for so-called 'High Security' areas such as prisons, airports, banks, financial institutions, embassies, customs, military areas, and distribution depots.
Roadbockers
In the "up" position, the roadblocker acts as an impenetrable barrier and forms a highly visible deterrent. In the "down" position, the roadblocker does not act as an obstacle to passing vehicles. The roadblockers are one of the best defense systems for your location when controlled access is desired. A roadblocker can also be used for the protection of valuable (company) resources.
Roadbocker Shallow-Mount
In case it is not possible to use a 'deep foundation', Bavak can also supply and install a so-called 'shallow-mount' roadblocker. A shallow-mount roadblocker is used when the installation is planned above, for example, a (parking) garage. It is also possible that one encounters a lot of cables and pipes in the ground and therefore it is not possible to dig deep for the foundation of a regular roadblocker. This shallow-mount solution is very effective and is also cost saving in the extra ‘civil work’ as for instance there is no deep founding needed.
Whichever Bavak roadblocker you choose, it will be fully customized to meet the requirements of your location. The Bavak roadblockers are designed to meet the different weight classes (up to 20 tons axle weight). An Emergency Fast Operate (EFO) unit is also an optional extra. The drive system is available as electromechanical (STE) or electro-hydraulic (STH) depending on specifications.
Roadbocker classifications
The Bavak roadblockers meet the commonly used classifications; PAS68, ASTM2656, IWA-14-1 and K4-K8-K12. For extra safety in dark conditions, it is possible to provide the roadblockers with extra lighting.
